Albert Meets Gary Carter...

Gary Carter was on site for Pfizer to discuss Leadership and Albert was able to meet him and get a ball signed. Gary was a great guy and was willing to talk about everything. Here is a picture from that day.

Our First Playoff Game...

On October 5th, we went to our first playoff game. The atmosphere was crazy...Mets fans were in a frenzy. We got there nice and early and were able to get a good tailgate going. The game had unbelievable energy. The Mets won 4-1 on their way to a 3-game sweep of the Dodgers. LETS GO METS!!!

3rd Times A Charm...

Well, we took the ride to Pittsburgh to see the Mets clinch and all we got was a Jack Wilson bobblehead. At least the stadium was gorgeous and its another one that we have visited. Now, it was time to get down to business and clinch this division at home, in front of all the fans that have waited so long. In the end, Trachsel pitched a gem and Jose Valentin provided 2 homers to get the Mets the 4-0 victory and the division title. The celebration was more than we ever imagined and we loved every minute of it. We are still convinced that Athena was the youngest fan in Shea that day...at exactly 7 weeks old.

"We better do it tonight; I'm getting tired of this!"

Pittsburgh, Take 2...

Well, after the loss on Saturday, there was no way the Pirates could sweep the Mets and prevent the clincher. This time we were able to get great seats and we were primed for the win. The only problem was that Willie decided to give half his team the day off. Poor John Maine had to pitch with the "A-minus" team behind him. This got the Mets a 3-0 loss and it got us a long, miserable drive home.

Pittsburgh, Here We Come...

PNC Park

On September 16th, we jumped in the car and headed to Pittsburgh. All the pieces had fallen into place, the Mets were going to clinch their first division title in 18 years and we were going to be there (even Athena). We had tickets for Saturday's game and hoped El Duque would bring home the championship. The Mets were their typical selves and lost the game 3-2.
